Proverbs chapter 001
Bible Chinese Union Revised VersionUpdated King James Version (UKJV)KJV
以色列王大衛兒子所羅門的箴言: The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
要使人曉得智慧和訓誨,分辨通達的言語, To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
使人處事領受智慧、仁義、公平、正直的訓誨, To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
To give subtlety to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
使人明白箴言和譬喻,懂得智慧人的言詞和謎語。 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
我兒,要聽你父親的訓誨,不可離棄你母親的法則(law); My son, hear the instruction of your father, and forsake not the law of your mother: My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
因為這要作你頭上的華冠,你項上的金鍊。 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto your head, and chains about your neck. For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
My son, if sinners entice you, consent you not. My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privately for the innocent without cause: If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
我們好像墳墓(grave),把他們活活吞下;他們如同下坑的人,被我們囫圇吞了; Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
我們必得各樣寶物,將所擄來的,裝滿房屋; We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
你與我們大家同分,我們共用一個囊袋; Cast in your lot among us; let us all have one purse: Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
我兒,不要與他們同行一道,禁止你腳走他們的路。 My son, walk not you in the way with them; refrain your foot from their path: My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
因為,他們的腳奔跑行惡;他們急速流人的血, For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privately for their own lives. And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.
So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which takes away the life of the owners thereof. So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
Wisdom cries without; she utters her voice in the streets: Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:
在熱鬧街頭喊叫,在城門口,在城中發出言語, She cries in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she utters her words, saying, She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
How long, all of you simple ones, will all of you love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
我呼喚,你們不肯聽從;我伸手,無人理會; Because I have called, and all of you refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
But all of you have set at nothing all my counsel, and refused my reproof: But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
你們遭災難,我就發笑;驚恐臨到你們,我必嗤笑。 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear comes; I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
When your fear comes as desolation, and your destruction comes as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish comes upon you. When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
因為,你們恨惡知識,不喜愛敬畏耶和華, For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
不聽我的勸戒,藐視我一切的責備, They refused my counsel: they despised all my reproof. They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
But whoso hearkens unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
