001 | 智慧建造房屋,鑿成七根柱子, | Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars:

002 | 宰殺牲畜,調和旨酒,設擺筵席; | She has killed her beasts; she has mingled her wine; she has also furnished her table.

003 | 打發使女出去,自己在城中至高處呼叫, | She has sent forth her maidens: she cries upon the highest places of the city,

004 | 說:誰是愚蒙人,可以轉到這裡來!又對那無知的人說: | Whoso is simple, let him turn in here: as for him that wants understanding, she says to him,

005 | 你們來,吃我的餅,喝我調和的酒。 | Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.

006 | 要捨棄愚蒙(Forsake the foolish),就得存活,並要走聰明(understanding)的道。 | Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

007 | 指斥褻慢人的,必受辱罵;責備惡人的,必被玷污。 | He that reproves a scorner gets to himself shame: and he that rebukes a wicked man gets himself a blot.

008 | 不要責備褻慢人,恐怕他恨你;要責備智慧人,他必愛你。 | Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate you: rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.

009 | 教導智慧人,他就越發有智慧;指示義人,他就增長學問。 | Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in
